We also aim to provide our clients with the highest quality home with an eye toward efficiencies in cost.
JHS Custom Homes’ principals have over 30 years of combined experience in homebuilding and luxury real estate development. Bringing this experience to your custom home build, we can guide you through the entire process from lot selection to home plan selection to design to construction and, finally, closing.
Jeffrey Smith
Chief Executive Officer
Jeff previously spent over 20 years as an owner and developer of luxury multi-family housing properties and luxury hotels, both domestically and internationally, as Chief Investment Officer and Partner of Viceroy Hotel Group and Kor Realty Group. Jeff has overseen the investment and development of over $1 billion in luxury hotel, single family residential, and multi-family residential projects during his career. He brings his eye for luxury and uncompromising quality to JHS Custom Homes. Jeff currently resides in Austin.
Hunter Sims
President
Hunter is a Texas native, born and raised in San Antonio where he began his career in home building estimating for a nationwide residential builder. Upon relocating to Austin he continued his journey in the home building world as a project manager for highly acclaimed luxury homebuilders throughout Austin and surrounding areas. His drive and determination is unmatched for providing every homeowner with the highest level of customer service and accurate delivery of their custom home on time and on budget. Hunter is personally involved every step of the way through the completion of the project and works hand in hand with each client to build them the home they’ve always dreamed of.
April Smith
Buyer Concierge
April was born and raised in a small Indiana town but eventually found her way to Austin. April believes her Midwest values, love for people and relentless pursuit of customer satisfaction were instrumental in her building loyal trustworthy client relationships and a successful career as an executive officer in both personal, private and business banking. Most recently, April was as an entrepreneur, owning a medi-wellness spa. April enjoys working with new homeowners. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, eagerness to listen and interact will give each client the exceptional experience they deserve during the entire home buying process.
Nash
JHS Company Dog
Nash was born in San Antonio and loves to visit job sites and homes under construction. Nash gets excited by just about everything and that enthusiasm provides the JHS team with constant enjoyment. Nash personally inspects every lot JHS works on by running around over every square foot of the lot. Nash takes this responsibility very seriously.
Why Us?
JHS Custom Homes only works on a limited number of homes at one time. This ensures that we are able to give our clients the attention and focus that a luxury home build requires. You will not be sharing our team with 20 other home builds or have a junior project manager assigned to build your home. JHS Custom Homes principal’s will be directly involved in your custom home build throughout the entire process. Clients will also have access to our Buyer Concierge, who is available to our clients through the entire process of construction of your new home, providing direct, regular communication, property tours, construction updates, coordination of closing, and whatever else our clients need during the process.
